For its fourth year in a row, Astro Doughnuts & Fried Chicken will be raising money in order to benefit military families.
On Friday, June 2 as part of National Donut Day, proceeds from the sales of its cherry pie donuts will go towards the Fisher House Foundation. This charity raises money to provide military families housing close to a loved one during hospitalization for an illness, disease, or injury.
The cherry pie donut is a one-day only offer, so customers are encouraged to take advantage of the National Donut Day event. It will be available at all Astro locations in Washington, D.C., Falls Church, Virginia, and Los Angeles.
Astro Doughnuts & Fried Chicken recently opened its first location in L.A. after first rising to prominence in the D.C. area. One of the more popular items on the menu it the Crème Brûlée Donut, which was recently featured in a live demonstration for the Washington Post.
