In late May, Magnolia Bakery announced that it would be releasing four new, limited edition flavors of its famous banana pudding over the course of the summer. On June 5, the bakery release the first of those flavors, rainbow.
The rainbow banana pudding flavor adds confetti sprinkles and whipped cream to the classic banana pudding recipe.
As part of its “Summer Bananza,” Magnolia Bakery will release a new flavor each month. In July, the new flavor will be toasted coconut, graham crackers, and chocolate chips, an homage to the bakery’s famous magic cookie bars. In August, a S’mores flavor will be available. It will have layers of chocolate pudding, graham crackers, marshmallow fluff, marshmallow, bananas, and chocolate shavings. Finally, the September flavor will be Salted Caramel, with dulce de leche pudding and homemade salted caramel made with Malden sea salt and bananas.
Magnolia Bakery opened its first location 21 years ago in New York City. Since then, it has grown to have locations in several major U.S. and world cities, thanks to its high quality offerings such as the banana pudding.
