Acquired by the Gaines in 2014, the property was launched as Silos Baking Company in 2016. The building, constructed in 1890, has a silo behind it which adds to its charm.

The birthday celebration attracted a large crowd, with hundreds attending in order to receive the bakery’s limited-edition funfetti cupcakes. The exterior of the bakery was decorated with bright balloons, which contrasted well with the rustic appearance of the building.

The Gaines had a dream of owning a bakery for a long time. The project combined Joanna’s love of baking with the couple’s unique style. Silos Baking Company is open from 7:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Saturday. The bakery features cakes, cupcakes, cookies, pastries, and more.
