Inspired by the popular Museum of Ice Cream in Los Angeles and New York, organizers in Charlotte, North Carolina are hosting a dessert festival that will bring together the area’s top bakeries and pastry chefs.
On August 12, the inaugural Love Desserts Festival will take place at Charlotte’s Sugar Creek Brewing Company. The event will offer samples of sweet treats from vendors, a life-size pool of desserts, sugary photo booths, and plenty of nostalgia.
One of the most anticipated treats at the event will be Dunk-a-Roos, the popular 1990’s treat that will remind plenty of attendees of their childhood.
Over 25 bakeries, restaurants, food trucks, and local vendors will showcase sugary desserts. Some of the featured vendors include King of Pops, Big View Bakery, Café Ganache food truck, GiGi’s Cupcakes, Ninety’s Ice Cream, Elmhurst Milk, Cookie Dough Bliss, ChocAChip, The Sweet Elements, Yappy Hour Bakery, Baked Well, Sticky Sweets Candy Apples, When Life Gives You Lemons, Snow Fluff Shavery, and more.
The dessert festival will also feature an Extreme Dessert Contest, in which vendors will compete to make the craziest desserts they can imagine.
