180 Xurros in Portland, Oregon is a Spanish xurros (churros) spot that markets itself as “Portland made with a Spanish twist.” That extends to the bakery’s new offering, a xurro ice cream sandwich.
The sandwich features two xurro cookies, which are fried to order and then immediately dusted with cinnamon and sugar. They are then filled with either bourbon-soaked vanilla bean or cocanu chocolate ice cream.
The shop launched the xurro ice cream sandwich earlier this week, and it already has gained national attention.
180 Xurros makes its products in small batches to focus on quality. The handcrafted xurros are fried to crispy golden taste and make a perfect complement to something sweet like ice cream.
