On Thursday, September 7, Evansville, Indiana’s Donut Bank Bakery is baking special Texas-themed cookies to benefit Hurricane Harvey relief.
Proceeds from cookie sales will go to the American Red Cross and its relief efforts. It’s part of the Tri-State Cares Telethon, which is raising money for American Red Cross Hurricane Harvey Relief Efforts from 6 a.m. until 6:30 p.m. CST during the day.
"We've all had bad days," says Donut Bank Vice President Joe Kempf, "but we have a house to go home to. So, this is something that we could directly impact. I know it's small, but if enough of us do our little part, maybe we'll make a big difference for these people."
Donut Bank is also accepting cash donations for the Red Cross.
