A New York City hotel is offering a pricey bagel for a good cause.
For a limited time starting next month, the Westin New York hotel in Times Square will sell a $1,000 bagel with some additions you wouldn’t find on the average bagel. It will feature Alba white truffle cream cheese, topped with goji berry-infused Riesling jelly and flaked with golden leaves.
The white truffle from the Alba area of Northern Italy is one of the most expensive foods in the world, due to its rarity and limited production. Hotel guests willing to drop some dime for this costly culinary creation will be doing so for the right reasons, as 100 percent of the proceeds will be donated to Holy Apostles Soup Kitchen.
The bagel will be available at the hotel from November 1 to December 15 and must be ordered 24 hours in advance.
