Bakery-café franchise La Madeleine French Bakery & Café has announced a special offering for the holiday season. Customers can purchase decorate-your-own Bûche de Noël kits, which will allow them to dress up yule log cakes with their family and friends.
The kit features a classic vanilla sheet cake topped with a layer of chocolate mousse, which is then rolled into the iconic Yule log shape. It’s iced with a semi-sweet chocolate ganache to resemble tree bark. Customers can decorate it with green icing and festive holiday candy charms. Included are easy steps to follow in creating the tree pattern.
“With our decorate-your-own Bûche de Noël kit, our Guests can create new holiday traditions with their children, grandchildren and friends,” says Susan Dederen, La Madeleine's vice president of culinary operations. “In my family, the holidays center around the kitchen, and we're always looking for a new excuse to put on our aprons.
