New York City’s The Doughnut Project is no stranger to collaborations with alcoholic beverage companies. In November, the bakery partnered with Angry Orchard Cider Company for an apple cider crisp doughnut, and over the summer it teamed up with Ruffino Wines for a Prosecco-flavored doughnut.
Now, The Doughnut Project is working with a new partner for a limited-time doughnut this weekend. Beginning Friday, December 15, the shop will offer a Port wine-flavored doughnut using Fonseca Port’s Fonseca Bin 27 Port.
The Fonseca Bin 27 Port Doughnuts are filled with a Fonseca Bin 27 Port compote with plum and cherry, covered with a sweet port glaze, and topped with dark chocolate crumble and a cherry garnish.
On Friday, December 15, the first 50 customers in the door at The Doughnut Project will receive one of these special doughnuts for free. For all other customers, the doughnut will be available through Sunday, December 17.
