To close out the year, restaurant review guide Zagat released its rankings of 2017's Most Exciting Food Cities. The rankings reflect 30 American cities with both new destinations and established eateries.
“The list is curated based on feedback from industry experts and Zagat editors who have tried and tested the best of what the 2017 most exciting food cities have to offer. Los Angeles took the crown as a result of its star newcomers, diverse cuisine and influx of chefs from around the country,” Zagat stated in a press release.
Los Angeles was able to come out on top with plenty of exciting restaurant debuts and chefs making their name in the industry. In one big surprise, New York City did not crack the Top Ten.
