Ridiculous Cakes will be a 12-episode series narrated by Alton Brown. It will introduce viewers to the most talented cake artists around the U.S., who will share details about their extraordinary efforts that go into imagining and creating elaborate cake designs.
Some of the impressive cakes that will be featured this season include a massive 500-pound replica of Planet Earth, an upside-down chandelier, and a cake based on the beloved children's series Fraggle Rock.
“Cakes have the ability to perfectly capture the wonder and joy of a special moment. Viewers will be amazed to see how these artists work with their teams to imagine, plan, and execute these magnificent edible works of joy,” says Courtney White, Senior Vice President Programming, Scripps Networks Interactive.
Ridiculous Cakes premieres January 1 at 10 p.m. EST on Food Network.
