The donut shop sold Lego donuts, with the proceeds going to the American Family Children's Hospital. Each donut resembled a Lego block or Lego character.

Every year around the holidays, Hurts Donut chooses a different fundraiser, and this year's choice will benefit children battling cancer.

"It was the crew. It was the people who work at the store.  They wanted to give back," says ownerJohn Mackey. "Give back to the kids and families who are going through tough times."
