The line of products will be sold to the foodservice industry as an answer to consumers’ growing demand for food transparency and products with real, wholesome ingredients. Kitchen Cupboard clean-label products contain no bleached flour, artificial flavors or colors, high-intensity sweeteners, high fructose corn syrup, artificial preservatives, aluminum phosphates, partially hydrogenated oils, modified starches, or trans fats.
Bake’n Joy’s new brand will feature muffin and cookie varieties, including whole grain lines. They come in a convenient, freezer-to-oven, pre-deposited format for better convenience.
“The sweet baked-goods category is not going away despite an evolving trend toward healthier, ‘better for you’ foods,” says Michael Ogan, VP of Operations and great-grandson of founder A. E. Ogan. “Bake’n Joy has innovated high-quality bakery products for retail and foodservice customers since 1941, so it made perfect sense for us to develop this new clean label line and introduce it to the all-natural industry at Expo West.”
