On Saturday, March 3, the bagel franchise will donate the proceeds from its entire day of business to a scholarship at William Paterson University, which will be available to any student in the Wayne, New Jersey area.
A committee from William Paterson will select the student who will receive the education funding. Manhattan Bagel came up with the idea to help fund a scholarship because it is located near the William Paterson campus.
“This is the first time we have been in a position to do something so exciting that will help a college student in need,” says Manhattan Bagel’s Akram Kwaik. “We know that Saturday is a day that people eat out and we are hoping that the entire community comes out to support this fundraiser to help us raise money for such a good cause.”
