The new location will continue Carlo's Bakery's traditions, including its signature treats. Its famous cannoli, lobster tail, cupcakes, custom cakes, and more will be available at the 1,892-square-foot store.
"When you walk in here, we want you to feel like you walked into our original bakery back in New Jersey," says Mauro Castano of Carlo's Bakery.
Carlo's Bakery will hold its traditional ribbon cutting ceremony, with the business to open immediately afterward and meet-and-greet opportunities available. In a slightly less traditional move, the bakery will be offering exclusive VIP packages to the grand opening via their social media pages in January and February.
"Texas has become a home away from home for me and the famiglia these past couple of years," says Valastro. "Honestly, that southern hospitality gets us every time. We feel welcomed with open arms, so finally laying down some roots in San Antonio is something we've been looking forward to for some time now. I'm so happy we're going to open our doors there and we are so excited to really bring a slice of Hoboken to the wonderful people of San Antonio. What you get in Hoboken is exactly what you're going to get in San Antonio – we wouldn't have it any other way."
