Warm cookie delivery concept Tiff’s Treats will hold the grand opening for its first store in Waco, Texas on Saturday, August 20. As part of the celebration, the bakery is teaming up with Baylor CARE for a special fundraiser.

Baylor CARE (Clinic for Assessment, Research and Education) provides low-cost, research-based assessment and interventions to children with cognitive and developmental disabilities, including autism spectrum disorder. To benefit these children, Tiff’s Treats will provide scholarships for therapy fees for their families through all sales from its first day (up to $5,000) in Waco.

Tiff’s Treats is asking customers to bring new unwrapped children’s books to donate to the Baylor CARE program. Each person that contributes books will get a $5 Tiff's Treats Gift Card.

Giveaways will also be a big part of the grand opening celebration. The first 40 people in line at 9 a.m. on August 20 will receive a $100 Tiff’s Treats gift card, while everyone else in line at that time will receive a $10 gift card (must be 18 or older). There will also be opportunities for customers to win free cookies for a year.

“We started our company almost 20 years ago on campus at the University of Texas, just an hour and a half drive from Waco. We have enjoyed watching Waco thrive and grow and we are excited to finally put some roots down in Waco, which creates a perfect midway stop between our first two markets of Austin and Dallas,” says Tiff’s Treats co-founder Leon Chen.
