Aside from his massive wealth, billionaire Warren Buffett is known for his sweet tooth. The investor famously consumes several Coca Cola sodas every day, so his recent birthday celebration reflected his beloved beverage.
New York City steakhouse Smith & Wollensky put together an elaborate Coca Cola-themed birthday cake on Buffett’s 88th birthday during his annual charity luncheon benefiting the Glide Foundation on Thursday, August 30.
The “Coke Float” chocolate cake was soaked with cola syrup, and topped with dark chocolate ganache and a buttercream made to taste like ice cream. The cake, pictured here, took over four days to create, but it was enjoyed by Buffett.
The steakhouse created a cake for Buffett’s birthday last year as well. “Last year's theme was Warren Buffett's favorite things, and we didn't really get to include the Coke element,” says pastry chef Cory Colton. “This year we wanted to just focus on that.”
