The Retail Bakers of America (RBA) invites business owners to celebrate the success of their independent bakery with this sweet holiday, taking place for the eighth year on Friday, September 20.
You can bring National Bakery Day to life through live events, fresh treats and signature tastes that make your local bakery a vital part of your community.
You and your staff can stay in style both before and during the holiday this year with National Bakery Day and Keep Your Dough Local shirts and other merchandise.
Cookies, cupcakes and other small items have been a big way that bakeries have encouraged visitors on National Bakery Day in the past.
Your bakery can offer something new and exclusive on National Bakery Day to incentivize customers to come in on that day. You can even team up with other local businesses for a product, such as a hot dog in a drilled bun.
Contests are another fun way to bring in customers. For example, you can have customers submit a cupcake design, with the best creation winning a prize and/or being featured at the bakery.
Some additional ways to bring this event to life include special prices and discounts on products, bakery tours, decorating stations for the kids, have local celebrities visit the bakery (contact local news shows), conduct demonstrations/tastings and involve your local chamber of commerce/ask local officials to declare 9/20/24 National Bakery Day in your area.
We'd like to give a special thanks to the sponsors of National Bakery Day this year, which include Angel Yeast, Ardent Mills, Beldos USA, Dawn Foods and Erika Record Baking Equipment.
