Inline Plastics Corp., Shelton, CT, an industry leader in rigid plastic food containers, announces an increase in manufacturing capacity at their Connecticut location. New, high-speed thermoforming equipment was delivered and fully operational by late December. This expansion, driven by a strong demand for Inline’s food containers in the market, represents a significant increase in manufacturing capacity (up to 10 million containers per month).
With the addition of the new thermoforming line, the Shelton plant will hire up to 18 more people. Inline was assisted with this capital investment by low-cost financing provided though the Connecticut Department of Economic and Community Development (DECD) and the Connecticut Development Authority (CDA).
Tom Orkisz, President of Inline Plastics Corp. states, “The assistance we received from DECD and CDA made the difference between establishing our new thermoforming line in CT versus our GA plant. It was a pleasure to work with DECD; our contact there was determined to land these new jobs in CT, which will enable us to further grow our eastern US business.”
