September proved to be a busy month for “Cake Boss” Buddy Valastro. At the International Baking Industry Exposition (IBIE) 2019 in Las Vegas, the celebrity and owner of Carlo’s Bakery conducted a live decorating demo (which was standing room only) at the Retail Bakers of America (RBA) Bakers Center - brought to you by Bundy Baking Solutions.

 

After that, Valastro made an appearance on ABC’s “Live with Kelly and Ryan” as part of the show’s “Record Breaker Week.” He joined hosts Kelly Ripa and Ryan Seacrest on Thursday, September 12 to break his own “Guinness World Record for Most Cupcakes Iced in One Minute.” His previous record was 20, but Valastro was able to smash that record with 36 cupcakes iced.

 

Previously, bake reached out to Valastro and asked him to share some favorite ideas.

 

 

I’m inspired by a lot of things, to be honest. I see a fabric I find cool or the way the clouds are against the sunset when I’m driving home from the office, it sparks something in me and makes my mind wander and I start thinking: What would that color taste like? How can I replicate this pattern on fondant? 

 

 

My family, both those no longer with me and those who are. I want to live up to the potential my parents saw in me and I also want to provide for my family now.
