From waffle flatbreads to vegan cookie dough, Rich Products Corp. rolled out a range of bakery products at the 2019 NACS Show, presented by the National Association of Convenience Stores and held October 1-4 in Atlanta.
The company said its four new products reflect the evolving needs of convenience store kitchens.
“Every c-store is unique,” said Tom Michalewski, customer marketing manager, convenience, Rich Products. “Some are looking for delicious foods that require minimal labor, while others are seeking products they can personally bake, customize and offer at a premium.”
The bakery introduced maple waffle flatbread and sheet pizza doughs for retailers looking to personalize their offerings. The ready-to-stretch pizza dough allows retailers to create made-to-order pizzas, calzones, Stromboli, and breadsticks. The product can be stored in coolers for up to 120 days and are available in 6-inch and 12-inch sizes.
Rich’s maple waffle flatbreads also may be customized to meet consumers’ changing flavor preferences. The thaw-and-serve product delivers a sweet flavor through all-natural maple chips and may feature a variety of fillings, such as breakfast sausage or fried chicken. Each 1.1-oz flatbread contains 1 gram of fiber has a 180-day frozen shelf life.
Tapping into growing health and wellness trends, the bakery debuted vegan and clean label cookie products.
Rich’s specialty sandwich cookies are made without artificial flavors, colors or high fructose corn syrup. The individually wrapped cookies are available in chocolate chip and sugar varieties. Both products feature a buttercream filling that is sandwiched between two soft cookies.
Developed to serve the growing demand for plant-based snacks, Jacqueline’s vegan cookie dough provides convenience stores with a dairy- and egg-free alternative to traditional cookies. The dough is available in four flavors: chocolate chip, ranger, peanut Butter and oatmeal raisin. Pre-formed into 1.5-oz frozen pucks, the snack has a 7-day shelf life once baked
