Cinnamon Bread Pudding
Ingredients
For the custard:
- 2 cups sugar
- 5 eggs
- 2 cups milk
- 2 tsp vanilla
For the topping:
- 1 cup brown sugar*
- 1/4 cup softened butter*
- 1 cup chopped nuts*
* Mix to firm a paste
16 cups (around half a loaf) of stale cubed bread
Directions
Preheat oven to 350º. Soak bread until all the cubes are moist throughout. Pack bread into a 9" greased springform pan. Cover with the butter-sugar- nut topping. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until a thermometer reads 165º.
Blackberry Jam
Ingredients
- 1 lbs blackberries
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup honey
- 1/4 cup lemon juice
- 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
- Salt to taste
Directions
Combine all the ingredients in a sauce pan and cook over medium-low heat until thickened, 30 minutes to one hour. Adjust seasonings as needed. Straining out the seeds is optional.
