- 1⁄2 tsp ground cinnamon
- 4 Granny Smith apples
- 1 oz roasted whole almonds chopped
- 1 oz 70% dark chocolate chopped
- 4 bamboo skewers
Directions
-
Place dates in boiling water and set aside for 15 minutes. Strain dates, reserving the liquid.

-
Spear the apple with a skewer and dip into the date-caramel mixture.
-
Sprinkle over almonds and chocolate and refrigerate to set completely before serving.
-
Alternatively, for a more kid-friendly snack, chop apples into wedges first, and serve with caramel dipping sauce, almonds and chopped chocolate on the side.
