Creating an inviting atmosphere at your retail shop can do wonders for your bakery sales.
At Panaderia La Central, a family-owned and operated Mexican bakery located in Avondale, Arizona, this business offers a picture of success. The retailer specializes in traditional Mexican pastries baked fresh daily.
Inside, the displays are organized, and the environment is spotless.

“Our bakery business just keeps increasing,” points out Yolanda Chavez, owner of La Central. “We offer good quality products, and people like the atmosphere here. We have a new bar area and outdoor patio.”
Chavez stresses the importance of being out in front of customers who visit the retail shop, located in the Phoenix suburb of Avondale, a quaint and growing part of the metroplex.
She spreads the word to their loyal following through social media with daily postings, picturing their delicious and authentic breads and pastries. “I have someone come in and take the photos,” she says of their social media system for Instagram and Facebook.
Cakes are a special drawing card for customers looking for unique flavor experiences.
The sweet breads are traditional: conchas, Danish, cinnamon rolls, donuts, and much more.
“We accommodate the needs of the people,” she says. “We are so blessed.”
