Keera Brooks, CEO and owner of Wholesale Sugar Flowers, a certified women-owned business (WBENC), has made it her mission to hire, partner with and empower women in the baking industry. On International Women’s Day on March 8, Brooks announced the appointment of Stephanie Scher as chief marketing officer of Wholesale Sugar Flowers.
With more than 25 years of experience in design for food, events, hospitality, prop and interior styling, Scher leads marketing and design strategy for Wholesale Sugar Flowers and is working alongside Brooks to provide a fresh perspective and drive growth for the company.
In addition to hiring and promoting women within the company, Brooks purposely contracts with other women-owned businesses and strives to empower females across the industry.
“The products we sell help women solidify their business sustainability and long-term success,” Brooks explains. “The confidence these women gain from advancing their individual businesses spreads within their families and communities, allowing others to dream bigger for themselves. This is really my ‘why’ and what drives me every day.”
