The holidays are a time of giving – giving thanks for what we have and giving back to our communities. This season The Cheesecake Factory and The Cheesecake Factory Oscar and Evelyn Overton Charitable Foundation are honored to assist those who may not have the means to celebrate. To help those in need and share the spirit of hospitality and service with the community, more than 3,000 staff members from The Cheesecake Factory will gather in Salvation Army locations around the United States to prepare and serve sit-down holiday meals at The Cheesecake Factory’s 13th annual Thanksgiving Day Feast.

The Cheesecake Factory’s Thanksgiving Day Feast will take place at 13 Salvation Army locations coast to coast including Anaheim, Atlanta, Boston, Chicago, Dallas, Ft. Lauderdale, Houston, Long Island, Los Angeles, Miami, Phoenix, San Francisco, and Washington, D.C. on Thanksgiving Day. The Cheesecake Factory will prepare and serve holiday meals to more than 6,000 low-income individuals and families who will be treated to a full-service, sit-down meal that includes freshly roasted turkey with all the trimmings – including The Cheesecake Factory’s famous seasonal Pumpkin Cheesecake. “Our annual Thanksgiving Day Feast at Salvation Army locations is one of our favorite holiday traditions at The Cheesecake Factory,” said David Overton, Founder and CEO of The Cheesecake Factory. “We value giving back to our communities around the country and are thankful for our staff members who volunteer their time on Thanksgiving to help us provide a special meal to the less fortunate.” The annual Thanksgiving Day Feast is one of several commitments that The Cheesecake Factory has made to help support hunger-relief in America. The Cheesecake Factory also participates in its nationwide Harvest Food Donation Program, in which surplus food from the restaurants is regularly donated to local food rescue operations for distribution to soup kitchens and shelters to aid those in need. Since the program’s inception in 2007, The Cheesecake Factory has donated nearly 3 million pounds of food. Additionally, The Cheesecake Factory has donated more than $3.2 million to Feeding America, the nation’s leading domestic hunger-relief organization, through their partnership over the past six and a half years. As additional support for Feeding America, The Cheesecake Factory staff members nationwide participated in a Peanut Butter Drive during September’s Hunger Action Month, collecting more than 155,000 pounds of peanut butter to benefit local Feeding America food banks. Peanut butter is a crucial supply for food banks, supplying a protein-filled option for school lunches and meals for families.
