Blast 825, a quick-fired pizza restaurant, will celebrate the opening of its newest location in Rocklin, California, at 5198 Commons Drive with a pizza party on Wednesday, Jan. 28. The headliner of the party will be $4 pizzas and salads all day long with 100 percent of the proceeds going to the Placer SPCA via Blast 825's new pet-centric charitable initiative, Blast Buddies.

Blast Buddies will support local pet charities in an ongoing basis at the local level through store openings as Blast 825 expands through franchising.

"We are thrilled the Blast 825 fever has arrived in Rocklin and want to give back locally," said John Ferdinandi, CEO of Milano Restaurants, parent company of Blast 825 Pizza. "We opened in mid-December and experienced 50 percent higher sales than any of our other restaurant openings in the first 10 days alone. We are confident that our quick-fired pizzas will continue to win over enthusiastic fans as we expand through franchise opportunities throughout in California and into Nevada, Arizona and Texas."

As part of the opening celebration, the Placer SPCA will receive sales from the event held at the newly-opened Rocklin location as well as the Blast 825 at 1132 Galleria Blvd. in Roseville, CA, which opened in September 2014. On Wednesday, Jan 28 at 10:30 a.m., Placer SPCA representatives will build their own custom pizza in Rocklin and their "crustomized" pie will stay on the menu at both Placer County Blast 825 locations through the end of February, with proceeds benefitting the Placer SPCA.

The Rocklin restaurant will feature a pet-friendly patio and is the third free-standing location for the company, joining Clovis and Roseville and a location in Fresno's Fashion Fair Mall. Restaurants in Elk Grove and Cupertino are slated to open in early 2015.

For the party, Blast 825 partnered with Dr. Pepper and three lucky winners will be awarded a 20-speed mountain bike, a Cannon cyber shot camera or a pair of Maui Jim sunglasses. The prizes will be awarded throughout the grand opening party on Jan. 28 at the Rocklin restaurant. No purchase is necessary to win.

Founded in 2013, Blast 825 Pizza is a quick-fired pizza restaurant chain known for the 825 BLAST given to custom pizza art, creating pizza perfection in just three minutes. Guests create a personal 11" pizza, choosing from 40 fresh toppings, four artisanal sauces and three types of hand-stretched dough, including gluten-free, to "crustomize" their perfect pie. Toppings on the signature 18-foot bar include spicy pepperoni, linguiça, artichokes, and vegetables roasted in-house, with finishing sauces like pesto, BBQ, and infused olive oil. The brand currently has two locations open and four in development throughout California.
