Centerplate announced the promotion of Greg Fender and Sal Ferrulo from senior vice presidents to executive vice presidents, overseeing the company's North American hospitality service teams. Reporting directly to Centerplate's president and CEO Chris Verros, Fender will be responsible for the company's operations in the West and Ferrulo the East. These new roles and operating structure will allow the company to intensify its focus on guest delight and client profitability, better coordinate resources, and enhance execution across Centerplate's North American system.

"Greg and Sal are both proven operations professionals who have played a key leadership role with me over the last five years at Centerplate," said Chris Verros, president and CEO of Centerplate. "Together, they have achieved extraordinary success in every aspect of our portfolio."

Verros added, "I have had the opportunity to work with Greg for more than twenty years and with Sal for more than a decade. Each has unmatched experience managing globally-recognized events ranging from Super Bowls, U.S. Presidential Inaugural Balls, premier venue openings, and major meetings and events. I am thrilled to have event hospitality experts of their caliber taking on these important new leadership roles to drive our clients' success and Centerplate's future growth."

Fender and Ferrulo will oversee Centerplate's service delivery in all of its sports, entertainment, convention and restaurant locations. The existing reporting structure, which incorporates several hundred of Centerplate's North American client venues, will remain unchanged.

This announcement follows on the heels of the company's integration of its practice teams handling facility design and construction, capital project planning, equipment procurement and strategic consulting into a single, comprehensive division—the Hospitality Solutions Group—to meet the growing needs of clients for a seamless, end-to-end strategy, design, build, and service delivery function in hospitality services.
