George Weston Limited on January 19 announced that Maplehurst Bakeries, LLC, a subsidiary of Weston Foods, has agreed to the purchase of Creative Occasions, Inc., a manufacturer of decorated cakes, based in Nashville, Tennessee. The transaction is expected to close by the end of January 2015. Creative Occasions was founded on the premise of bringing the old fashioned corner neighborhood bakery quality to their customers. Creative Occasions' products are sold throughout the United States.
