With the exception of the impacted area, operations at a Corbion Caravan manufacturing plant in Grandview, MO, resumed March 12 after clearance by the Missouri Department of Health. An explosion happened at the facility March 11. Three employees were treated and released at a hospital the day of the explosion.
“The safety and well-being of our employees and the community is our top priority. A full investigation is underway into the cause of the explosion,” Corbion Caravan said in a release.
The Grandview plant produces dry blend ingredients and emulsifiers for sale to the bakery and food industries.
