The Park West Village center in Morrisville, North Carolina, is moving into its next major phase of commercial development and adding several new retailers and shops through 2015.
In April, the Triangle's first franchise location for dessert specialist Nothing Bundt Cakes will open near the street roundabout at Gander Mountain.
Nothing Bundt Cakes already has locations in Winston-Salem and in the Charlotte area and targets a similar audience as the region's many cupcake shops, like Gigi's Cupcakes, that have opened in recent years.
Nothing Bundt Cakes sells bundt-shaped desserts that come in bite-size pieces up to eight- and 10-inch tiered cakes that can serve 30 people. Prices range from $4 for a single serving to $65 for a tiered cake.
The center, located at the corner of N.C. 54/Chapel Hill Road and Morrisville Parkway, will be adding a new Sheetz gas station and convenience store by fall 2015 at the new Bristol Creek Parkway intersection.
Shannon Dixon executive vice president in charge of southeast operations for Park West Village, says the development firm has also broken ground on The District, the main street and mixed use portion of the center, which will include 114 residential units atop retail shops that will add an additional 40,000 square feet of new fashion and retail tenants.
