A new bakery in Seattle, Sod House Bakery, is introducing a grown-up version of Pop-Tarts to local customers at their newly opened storefront in Seattle’s Ravenna neighborhood.
Called Top Tarts, this pastry is reminiscent of the popular breakfast snack, only upgraded. The pastry features a flaky crust, mildly sweet frosting and a choice of flavors: raspberry, strawberry, or marionberry.
Sod House also sells an assortment of croissants, cookies, scones, small cakes, and challah all baked in-house by bakery owners Evan and Nina. In addition, they also serve espresso and drip coffee from local favorites Seven Coffee Roasters.
The cafe space combines industrial constructed wooden tables with adorable details. Each table is placed with a small flower vase and red chairs or stools. The double dutch doors are a quirky detail to the shop in celebration of the shared space with Bonniecake, a cake shop that specializes in made to order cakes.
As Sod House Bakery gains a foothold in their space in Ravenna, they will be open for limited hours only.
