Canada and Brazil have won the Louis Lesaffre Cup, thereby winning their tickets for the Coupe du Monde la Boulangerie. The Americas zone competition challenges set the scene for an emotionally charged event, and beautiful creations.

These teams will join 10 other countries from around the world to compete in the Coupe du Monde de la Boulangerie, or World Cup of Baking, scheduled for February 2016 in Paris, France.

Already having qualified, the Bread Bakers Guild of America’s Team USA members Nicky Giusto, Jacob Baggenstos, and Jeff de Leon have started practice, working under the direction of coach Harry Peemoeller.

The team was together the last weekend of May for their first official practice session. This was the first of what will be many sessions by the team to prepare for the Coupe du Monde de la Boulangerie.
