Bill Graham, vice president of sales for North America at PROVA Inc., described how the company succeeded in presenting new flavor and extract applications in foods and beverages to the many industry colleagues that stopped by the PROVA booth at IFT 2015.
PROVA’s team of flavor professionals greeted visitors at the 2015 IFT Booth from July 12 to 14 in Chicago’s McCormick Place. Graham reported that more than 20,000 representatives from food, beverage and nutritional product companies gathered to experience innovative ingredients and expand their knowledge of food science and food trends and he added, “That was exactly what they found at PROVA’s exhibit.”
PROVA specialists demonstrated a wide range of application specialties. Enticing cake pops, chocolate bites and thirst quenching iced coffees and teas showcased why PROVA is an industry leader in extracts of vanilla, cocoa and coffee, as well as sweet brown flavors. Many combinations of hot and cool taste sensations were seen on the show floor and PROVA’s booth featured stand-out offerings in this area. An original Spicy Chai Coconut Tea was presented along with chocolate confections with trending tropical flavors including Toasted Coconut, Horchata/Chocolate and Key Lime. Traditional vanilla and chocolate were well represented at IFT and in these categories PROVA applications combined innovation with authenticity to produce unique prototypes.
“The IFT was also the ideal venue for us to discuss our commitment to sustainability,” Graham said. “PROVA is really making a difference in the lives of more than 800 vanilla planters and curers at our vanilla production site in Madagascar. We are improving economic conditions through fair pricing and better farming practices as well as improving schools and promoting the wellbeing of children and their families.”
