Great Harvest Bread Co. opened a new retail store on Nov. 13 in Mason, Ohio, at 7912 Mason-Montgomery Road. The bakery serves loaves of bread, made-to-order sandwiches and other menu items using whole wheat flour milled daily on-site.
Husband and wife team Corbin and Francisca Koepke of the Cincinnati area opened the franchise because they wanted to own their own business. One reason people should try the new restaurant is “if people want bread the way it ought to be,” said Corbin Koepke, a Montana native.
Great Harvest sells several bread varieties such as Honey Whole Wheat, Cinnamon Chip and Cranberry Orange. The signature Honey Whole Wheat bread consists of five basic ingredients: the freshly milled flour, filtered water, honey, salt and yeast.
Hours are 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Mondays through Fridays and 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturdays. The storefront is closed Sundays.
