Kontos Foods, Inc., a U.S.-based manufacturer and distributor of traditional Greek and Mediterranean foods, announced that the company has donated over 130 cases of flatbread and Greek cookies to the Community Food Bank of New Jersey, an organization dedicated to fighting hunger and poverty in New Jersey.

This holiday season, Kontos Foods donated 10 different types of flatbread, including its White Pocket-Less Pita, Multi-Grain Flatbread, Grilled Panini Bread, ethnic Tandoori Nan and Pico de Gallo Pan Plano, made with jalapeño, cilantro, tomatoes, onions, and spices. The company also presented the Community Food Bank with festive butter cookies, Koulourakia, to help needy families celebrate the holidays.

“In our immediate community, and throughout all of New Jersey, thousands of families are struggling to make ends meet. This holiday season, we hope our donation to the Community Food Bank of New Jersey will make life a bit brighter for our neighbors in need,” said Steve Kontos, vice president of Kontos Foods.

Warren Stoll, marketing director at Kontos Foods, added: “The Community Food Bank of New Jersey fills the emptiness caused by hunger with food, help and hope. The organization does an incredible job serving food-insecure families in New Jersey, and we are grateful to be partnering with them to help make a difference.”
