The Culinary Institute of America’s Bakery Café in San Antonio, Texas, will return on Wednesday, March 9, and will remain open every weekday from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. until April 14.
The bakery features young culinary talent from students enrolled in the CIA culinary school. The menu will feature sweet and savory creations daily, as well as coffee, beverages and signature agua frescas.
The new pop-up CIA Bakery Café was created by the CIA’s baking and pastry senior class under the direction of certified master baker Alain Dubernard.
Popular items will include opera cake, coconut frangipane cupcake, alfajores, cannele de Bordeaux, white chocolate banana tarts, cranberry walnut scones, and guava and manchego empanadas. In addition to these sweet treats, the café will feature a revolving menu highlighting savory fare such as macaroni and cheese, breakfast items, bagels, salads and more.
