The Food Network has announced its latest reality competition, called Worst Bakers in America. The show will take a group of self-proclaimed terrible bakers and put them through a grueling bootcamp that will push their limits and challenge them in their baking skills.
Over a six week period, twelve contestants will compete on two teams. Through a series of challenges, those two teams will eventually be whittled down to the final two. Those two finalists will then compete for a $25,000 prize.
The show is modeled after a similar Food Network show, Worst Cooks in America.
According to the October 2 series premiere description, the contestants will be immediately challenged to create desserts inspired by pictures and recipes from FoodNetwork.com. Future episodes will focus on Halloween treats, wedding cake decoration, pie contests, and more.
The series will be hosted by Food Network stars Duff Goldman and Lorraine Pascale. This unique competition will be an interesting variation on the traditional cooking competition shows, which typically feature accomplished cooks rather than ones lacking in cooking skills.
