Henri's Bakery & Café, an Atlanta institution for almost 90 years, will be moving to a new location in the city’s Andrews Square retail location in spring of 2017.
The move from its current location will bring the iconic West Village bakery into a center that has recently undergone a series of enhancements, including the addition of new retailers, to create a vibrant community marketplace.
"It's important that Henri's is part of the Buckhead Village," says owner Madeline Leonard. "We love this community and the special place Henri's has in it. We're excited to relocate to a location that will allow us to continue serving our neighborhood that has so wonderfully embraced us."
Henri's will continue operations at its current location at 61 Irby Avenue and will transition into Andrews Square in the spring.
It's the next chapter for a storied Atlanta institution that first opened its doors in 1929, founded by Leonard's grandfather, Henri Fiscus. Henri's has been in business for 88 years, remaining family-owned. This Buckhead Village location and its sister shop in Sandy Springs are renowned throughout the Greater Atlanta area as must-stops for famous desserts, sweets and sandwiches.
"We're thrilled at the opportunity to work with such an Atlanta institution. Henri's is a perfect addition to the exciting evolution of our center and the West Village," says Herbert Ames, Vice President – Southwest of EDENS, the owner, operator, and developer of the Andrews Square retail center.
