In an Instagram post, Tartine Bakery announced that a new location would open in Seoul, South Korea some time in 2018.
While a specific opening date has not been given, many expect that the bakery will debut sometime before the start of the 2018 Winter Olympics, which takes place February 9-25, 2018 in Pyeongchang, South Korea.
Tartine Bakery’s owners recently announced that they were bringing a new food hall to San Francisco International Airport in mid-2018. The food hall will include three fast-casual dining experiences (Tartine, Cala, and Kin Khao), grab-and-go stations, a full-service bar, coffee, and a retail component for Bay Area products.
The bakery’s owners, Chad Robertson and Elisabeth Prueitt, won the James Beard Foundation Award for Outstanding Pastry Chefs in 2008 and have nominated for the awards multiple other times.
