Novacart, the world's largest producer of paper products for the baking and confectionery trade, has announced the promotions of Joe Miglia to General Manager of Novacart USA and Rick Botoff to National Sales Manager of Novacart USA.
Miglia had served 16 years as National Sales Manager for Novacart USA, starting out of the company’s U.S. headquarters in California with just one part-time assistant. The U.S. operations have since grown to include the California home office, along with warehouse, production and distribution facilities. Three years ago, the company opened a new warehouse and production facility in New Jersey.
Botoff joined Novacart USA six years ago, after having managed a family-owned paper distribution company. These two appointments bolster the management of Novacart’s U.S. operations.
“Novacart continues to grow and innovate,” Miglia says, “and our future is bright in the bakeable packaging industry.”
Novacart's paper baking molds are designed to be part of the packaging, eliminating the need for metal baking pans. They are made of rigid freestanding construction and are available in a variety of shapes and sizes. The paper baking molds are microwave- and oven-safe up to 390 degrees, as well as freezer safe. Novacart’s baking molds come in a standard color of a dark brown paper background with an attractive gold floret print overlay.
Founded in 1926, Novacart produces more than one millions items per day from a product range of baking molds, cups, cake pan liners, doilies, cake boards and trays. Novacart continues to be an innovative leader in the paper products industry. Having its own in-house, state-of-the-art technical department allows Novacart to take a project from conception to completion without being dependent on outside sources or contractors.
During the past 10 years Novacart has registered 22 patents worldwide. Internationally, Novacart manufactures in accordance with BGvv, HACCP and FDA regulations, and is also ISO 9002 certified.
Novacart selects only raw material suppliers who respect the environment. In Scandinavia, for instance, where several of its most important sources of raw materials are located, forest management has shown a net future increase in trees available for harvest due to aggressive reforestation efforts. In any manufacturing process, there is a certain amount of waste by-product, yet all of Novacart’s paper waste is transferred to a recycling facility. Novacart continually pursues new innovations within production facilities to minimize waste. All of its paper molds, cups and liners are fully recyclable and biodegradable.
