The holiday taking place Friday, Sept. 30 is an opportunity to celebrate the independent retail bakeries that are part of the driving force behind their communities.
In addition to five employees who will form the New Orleans bakery's employee advisory board, additional Bellegarde employees will be eligible to join the cooperative after one year of employment.
The investment will enable the facility to recycle even more plastics bags and other polyethylene film, producing up to 28 million pounds of recycled material annually.
